Kelly CravensKelly began her college career studying Painting and Photography before transferring to the University of Illinois, where she earned a B.A. in Communications with an emphasis in Mass Media. This study included television production, which led her to accept a position with PBS as a Producer and Director of Local Programming in Springfield, Illinois. She also produced and hosted her own series, Connections, featuring local people of interest. Eventually, Kelly grew frustrated with making too much money working for public television. She decided it was time to go out on her own, where she co-produced and hosted two seasons of the UPN TV series, Alternate Tunings, which featured live performances from indie rock bands. Kelly went on to work for Insight Media as a Sales Researcher and Account Executive. After three years of fattening the rich fatties at the cable company, she returned to her original interest in design, as the co-founder of Ancillary Factory, a graphic and web design company.
